Stuff I want you to knowabout

****

8/14/11 Update

This Month: This time I have something new for you. It's a French Revolution/Edwardian/Modern mashup mystery that came to me almost 7 years ago. Hopefully it will be the first in a new series. In any case, I would like to introduce you to Madeline Bates, known as La Maupin, star of La Maupin and the Dear John Letter.

9/4/10 Update

General Notes: Big news 'round these parts is that ALC Publishing isworking on a new omnibus edition of Rica 'tte Kanji!?. This will have all the original chapters, all the chapters from Yuri Monogatariand some brand new work by Rica Takashima! It'll be available in a number of different formats. We're very excited about the project and we hopeyou will be too!

This Month: Once again, I have a little fun with the lovely Ladies of Lillian. This time Yumi approaches Seiand what happens next will hopefully surprise and please you. A Little Advice will live with the other Marimite stories.

9/4/10 Update

General Notes: Yes, there's a new fanfic up, but that's NOT the amazing news. The amazing news is that MangaNEXT is back on Halloween weekend 2010 and hot damn!it's going to be awesome. They already have amazing guests lined up- folks that are in manga, webcomics, American comics, illustrative art,and Indie comics, so if you care about art, if you're interested in the history of manga or in learning about the manga industry, you *really* need to attend. I will be there, hopefully doing a Yuri panel and discussing the industry from a publisher's point of view.

This Month: This month, we have a long overdue Maria-sama ga Miteru story, looking at the adultlives of the *cutest,* most love-love couple in the series, Tsutako and Shouko. "Picture Book" will live with the other Marimite stories.

5/17/10 Update

General Notes: Spring is here and with it, a new fanfic - the first I have written in a very long time.

If you enjoy my fiction, I hope you'll visit one or both of my two blogs, Okazu and SocialOptimized for some of my nonfiction.

This Month: This time, it's a Hayate x Blade fanfic, about the best manga punk couple ever - Sid and Nancy. They are anarchy, Yeah! Where There's Smoke There's Fire, will live on the Oneoffs Page with my other random fanfics.

9/6/09 Update

General Notes: I've started a new blog, SocialOptimized, in which I talk about Social Media without Delusion, and clear away the cobwebs caused by hype and confusion. Of course, if you are looking for Yuri news and reviews, visit Okazu, the oldest Yuri blog in the world!

Yuri Monogatari 6 all-Yuri anthology from ALC Publishing is available on the Yuricon Shop and Amazon.

This Month: This month's story, Whistles in the Night, started as a conversation with a friend about combining his two passions - trains and Yuri. It rapidly grew into something different than he suggested, but not something bad at all. It will live on the Originals page with my other original works. Enjoy!

6/1/09 Update

General Notes: I know it's been months, since I last updated. I have plenty of stories - just no time at all! Yuri Monogatari 6, the newest all-Yuri anthology from ALC Publishing is available on the Yuricon Shop and Amazon. Also, check out the YM6 Video Trailer and feel free to share it on your blog or Facebook, MySpace or LJ page.

This Month: I've spent the last few years enjoying Maria-sama ga Miteru and Strawberry Panic, so I thought it would be fun to pay homage to their ancestor of a series, Cream Lemon. In Scherzo in Blue, Rie is reunited with Naomi after many years of separation. This will live on the One-Offs page with my other random series fanfics. This story is a Black Lily story and has adult situations.

1/24/09 Update

General Notes: Order  Yuri Monogatari 6, the newest all-Yuri anthology from ALC Publishing is up on the Yuricon Shop. Support Yuri - buy Yuri!

This Month: It's been a while, so we're back to Maria-sama ga Miteru and, in particular, my favorite couple, Rei and Yoshino. In honor of the so-sexy picture of them in the ending credits of the 4th season of the anime.... One day, A Happy Accident changes everything between them. Visit the Maria-sama ga Miteru fanfic page for more completely stories about the lovely Ladies of Lillian.

9/15/08 Update

General Notes: Look for Yuricon running the first ever Yuri Panel at the New York Anime Festival, Saturday, September 27 at 8PM! I'll also be doing a book signing earlier in the day at the Morris County Library in Morristown, NJ for Morris County Author's Day. I'd love to see you there!

This Month: Almost six years ago, I penned Back in The Saddle, a Gunsmith Cats fanfic that introduced Terri "Cowboy" Simms. I received a lot of requests for a sequel with Cowboy. At *last*, I offer you that sequel. A Fair Fight will live on the One-Offs page, in the "Two-Offs" section with its prequel. More Rally and Cowboy - you just KNOW there's going to be guns and chases and sex.

8/2/08 Update

General Notes: Otakon is around the corner - Yuricon and ALC Publishing is in the Dealer's Room at Table 611 and running the Yuri panel on Friday, August 8 at 1-2PM once again! We have all sorts of great Yuri manga, t-shirts, postcards, pins this year and we're holding a Raffle for people who spend more than $25 at our table will be entered into a drawing for a very cool manga-inspired Catwoman figurine. So drop by the table and get some great Yuri goods and maybe an extra cool prize!

This Month:This month, I'm indulging my desire as a "Cult of Miu" member and plumbing the depths of the relationship between Ichigo Mashimaro's Matsuoka Miu and Nobue Chika. Admission will live on my One-Offs page, with the rest of my random ramblings. Miu and Chika fans stand up and be counted!

6/24/08 Update

General Notes: Con season started with the usual blast of events - check out Okazu for my reports of the MoCCA event, my lecture at the Brooklyn Museum and AnimeNEXT. And put Otakon on your calendar, because Yuricon and ALC Publishing is in the Dealer's Room and running the Yuri panel once again!

This Month: Finally - the second part of Bad Fayre Day! Bret's bad day at the Fayre spirals out of control in the climax of this original lesbian Renaissance Fayre mystery. :-) You can Part 1 and many other original pieces of work on the Originals page. Enjoy!

5/24/08 Update

General Notes: The big news right now has to be that Maria-sama ga Miteru was licensed and that it will contain a subtitle track with honorifics! Yay! Pre-order Season 1 now on Amazon. :-)

This Month:I know I've left you all hanging with Bad Fayre Day. But because of my Yuri News post this week on Okazu, I wanted to get this story up. I promise to finish BFD next month. In the meantime, this month we answer the pressing question - if the Yamayurikai were ordering pizza, what would they order? Find out in Pizza, which will live on the Marimite page, a you might expect. :-)

4/23/08 Update

General Notes: Sorry for the delay in updating. It's been a crazy coupla months. Among other things, this month saw the 1000th post at my Yuri blog and newsmagazine, Okazu! What Yuri Manga did I choose to review for this momentous occasion? You'll just have to read it and find out. :-)

This Month:We're changing gears *again* this month. This month's story is the first of two parts - and original. This lesbian detective story was born when I was working at a Renaissance fair, selling swords. Big, shiny, *sharp* swords. I hope you'll join my protagonist Bret for a romp through the dust in Bad Fayre Day. You can find this and all my other original stories on my Originals page.

2/25/08 Update

General Notes: Recruitment for the sixth Yuri Monogatari Project has begun! If you are a Yuri manga creator, please consider joining the project to learn how to make publishable manga, get feedback from professionals and a chance to be published in ALC Publishing's award-nominated Yuri Monogatari anthology!

This Month:We're changing gears this month. The synchronicity that has ruled my adult life strikes again, as Lililicious has started scanlating a manga series I have adored for some time, Transistor ni Venus, just as I was about to release this story. How convenient, huh? So, this month's story is a "white lily" sci-fi spy romance romp with super spy April Enus called Treasure of the Elgabaal.

1/29/08 Update

General Notes: Even if you missed my book signing, you can still get a copy of my book, Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko. And if you are an artist, keep your eye peeled on the Yuricon website, where the Yuri Monogatari Project will be getting started in the spring. Also check out the new Japanese-language home page. It looks pretty cool.

This Month: A while ago, Sean Gaffney wrote a really filthy piece of smut that takes place in what we refer to as the Marimite porniverse. In that story, Touko-chan in Wonderland, Sachiko alludes to the history of a particular piece of equipment she uses in her discipline sessions. Well, for no particular reason, I wrote the history of that object. So, this month's story is a "red lily" piece entitled Beloved. Because the love of onee-sama and imouto is so very pure. /snort/

12/22/07 Update

General Notes: Because I have no shame, if you enjoy my fanfic here, my reviews on Okazu or my writing anywhere, please show your support by buying a copy of my book, Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko. All proceeds will make Volume 2 possible!

This Month:This month, I offer up for your entertainment, a short look between one moment and another in Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny. In Dragon and Phoenix, Kanu Unchou faces her worst fear and greatest desire, as the dragon that lives in Gentoku is made manifest. This story does have adult content, so clicking the above link is an affidavit of you being of legal age of majority. Like other stories from the Ikkitousen-verse, this will live on the One-Offs Page, in the "Two-Offs" section.

In In the Still of the Night Rally Cheyenne has to battle once again with her sister Rosa - only this time, she may not be able to win and losing is not an option. This story will live on the One-Offs Page. :-)

If you can't make it, don't forget that you can get 100% yuri manga through the Yuricon Shop, or Amazon.com. If you have ever enjoyed a story I've written, buying my book is a terrific way of saying thanks.

BUT! More importantly, this month I am announcing the First-ever "Worldshaking" Fanfic CONTEST! Yay!!! Whoo!!! This was originally going to be for my 100th story, but we're at something like 116 or so, so...oh well. :-)

"Worldshaking" Fanfic has basically looked exactly the same since 1997, with only the very barest of changes. I think it's time for a change, don't you? So this contest is simple - send me a new template, web design, design feature or logo - whatever you think might spiffy up the joint. The winner will get something I have never, ever before offered  - you pick the couple, and I'll write a story for you. Straight, gay, lesbian, alien, whatever, whoever, I'll write the couple *you* choose. I have never done a story because someone else wanted it - and I have received literally hundreds of requests. So this is your big chance to get the Natsuki/Shizuru, or Kenshin/Kaoru or whoever story you've always wanted.   I reserve the right to write the story my way, but you get to pick the couple. :-)

To submit a template, design feature, logo, mascot or whatever you think might help make this site nattier, just send it, or a link to it, along to me at yuricon@gmail.com . The contest will stay open until I close it - probably at the end of the year. But I love early entries!! So to endear yourself to me, send in your submission early. I look forward to your ideas!

This Month: Now, on to this month's story! Another first for WSF, this time in the form of a Madlax story. On the Road to... is a simple tale of two simple people trying to find their way through the aftermath of terrible conflict. You can find it, along with my many other random musings on the many random series I've watched, on the One-Offs page. Enjoy!

8/21/06 Update

General Notes: Yuricon proudly announces the 2007 Yurisai Event! Details will go up on the Yuricon Event page soon! Thanks to everyone who came by the Yuricon/ALC table at Otakon. You made this our best year ever. Don't forget that you can pick up your very own copy of my original novel Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko at either the Yuricon Shop, or Amazon.com. If you have ever enjoyed a story I've written, I ask that you buy my book as a way of saying thanks. Ask, and i'll autograph it and everything. :-)

This Month:This month's  Maria-sama ga Miteru story is a little strange - almost downright angsty. Autobiography tells one story among many at Lillian Girls' High School. You can find it, as usual on the Maria-sama ga Miteru page.

7/27/06 Update

General Notes: Otakon is coming soon and with it a great big Yuri panel! Check the  Yuricon Events pages for details. And don't forget to drop by table 408 in the Otakon Dealers' Room for your copy of my original novel Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko. Or feel free to buy a copy from either the Yuricon Shop, or Amazon.com. :-) If you have ever enjoyed a story I've written, I ask that you buy my book as a way of saying thanks concretely. And this way you can say you've given back to the fanfic community.

This Month:This month's story is...well, it's plain stupid. As Maria-sama ga Miteru stories go, this one is an aberration. But it makes me laugh and hopefully it will make you laugh too. You can find The Pirates Are Coming! on the Maria-sama ga Miteru Pages, as usual. Enjoy!

7/3/06 Update

General Notes: Sorry this update is so late - I was busy the week I usually update and time just slipped past me. Most of the crazyness is work-related, but as summer is here and yuri panels are breaking out across the world at various events, do take a moment to drop by the Yuricon Events pages and see if there's a yuri panel or event near you. If so, come by and say hi, because I love meeting people who enjoy my writing. And speaking of enjoying my writing -  I'm just going to keep plugging my original novel Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko, until you all buy a copy from either the Yuricon Shop, or Amazon.com, because that's what authors do. :-) If you have ever enjoyed a story I've written, I ask that you buy my book as a way of saying thanks concretely. And this way you can say you've given back to the fanfic community.

This Month: Looking back over the past few months, it appears that I've developed a pattern - two Maria-sama ga Miteru stories, then one from another series. Which makes this update "other series" month. For this month's update I have a special story - something that made me incredibly happy as I wrote it, because it had been so very long since I had a moment in the company of those royal Queens of Yuri - Haruka and Michiru. Yes, this month's story, A Quiet Evening Alone, is a new Sailor Moon story. It is also black lily story, so minors, you're not welcome. Please feel free to visit the Sailor Moon story page and read one of my non-adult stories to kill time.

5/20/06 Update

General Notes: I'm just going to keep plugging my original novel Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko, until you all buy a copy from either the Yuricon Shop, or Amazon.com, because that's what authors do. :-) If you have ever enjoyed a story I've written, I ask that you buy my book as a way of saying thanks concretely. And this way you can say you've given back to the fanfic community.

Summer is just around the corner, so if you're looking for a cool unique shirt, drop by the Yuricon Shop and buy yourself and/or a friend one of our great "I Love Yuri!" tees, bags, hats, etc. The "I Love Yuri" design is a Yuricon exclusive by Kelli Nicely and makes a really nice way to tell the world how much you love yuri!

This Month: This month's story was indirectly inspired by Sean Gaffney by way of his asking me to help him out with his story, Double Fantasy. I enjoyed doing that, and it gave me the idea for this month's story, Roman Holiday. This is a "black lily" story, so for adults only. Please abide by our rules, thanks. You can find Sean's story and the new one (and others for all ages) on the Marimite fanfic page.

4/21/06 Update

General Notes: It's been a busy couple of months so far this year. I've lectured in Illinois and Seattle and now I'm taking a vacation to the UK. So I hope to do some serious writing over the next few weeks for you all. If you've enjoyed my writing over the years, buying a copy of Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko from either the Yuricon Shop, or Amazon.com is a good way to thank me for all the fun and reading pleasure I've brought you for free over the years! And if you love the women of Maria-sama ga Miteru as much as I do, let me also suggest you pick up a couple of the Marimite Drama CDs that are available - they are a great way to enjoy Marimite on the go. Lastly, I was planning on doing some sort of contest for my 100th story, but I'm well over the mark now. So I was thinking of doing a contest for my 111th story instead. But that would only give you a month to enter, so...next month I will announce a contest in honor of my 114th story for No Particular Reason! Yay! Check back next month to see what the contest - and the stakes - are.

This Month: Another no-lily story, but don't worry, it won't become a habit. ;-) This time we're back for a visit with the three older Rosas, Eriko, Youko and Sei, in White Roses, Red Petals. These women are simply too charming to just let go and never think of them again...I'm sure you'll agree. This will live with all my other endless musings on the lovely ladies of Lillian on the Marimite fanfic page.

3/20/06 Update

General Notes: 2006 is another Yuricon on the road year - check out our Events page for a yuri panel at a con near you! Also - if you've enjoyed my writing over the years, buying a copy of Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko from either the Yuricon Shop, or Amazon.com is a good way to thank me for all the fun and reading pleasure I've brought you for free over the years!

This Month: Something completely different this month! A few months ago I watched Kaleido Star Legend of Phoenix: Layla Hamilton Monogatari and I *knew* I needed to write a coda to the OAV. Coda is that story. Layla and Sora SO need to be together. This is a no-lily story, so anyone who isn't offended by strong emotional connection between women can read it, should they so desire.

2/20/06 Update

General Notes: The 2006 Yuricon Fanart Contest is over - visit the Contest page to see the winners - they are great!. Rica 'tte Kanji!?, a great yuri manga available at the  Yuricon Shop, has been chosen as part of an anthropology class curriculum at Brandeis University. Pretty cool, huh? You can get a copy of Rica for yourself and help support Yuricon at the same time.

This Month: I know you'll be shocked to find that this month's story is a Maria-sama ga Miteru piece. You can, as always find it on the Marimite fanfics page. Double Fantasy was actually written by Sean Gaffney, and I just helped out by writing the "adult" portion, because he was all writer's blocked. This is a "black lily" story - not for minors.

1/21/06 Update

General Notes: Happy Year of the Dog. Artists, there's only 10 days or so to submit a romantic picture of Yuriko and Midori to the 2006 Yuricon Fanart Contest. Please read the submission guidelines carefully before entering and winning fun prizes. We've also got a cool new feature (still a teeny bit buggy, but functional) at Yuricon - the new Yuri News page and RSS feed. Get news of yuri anime and manga series, sales, events and of course, Yuricon updates to your newsreader...or drop by the site for updates! And if you enjoy the stories here, please consider picking something up through the Yuricon Shop - every little bit helps me and supports yuri in a very concrete way.

This Month: Oh my gosh! A new Maria-sama ga Miteru story - who'd've thunk it? This time its a completely fresh perspective on life at Lillian. It's One Girl's Story, and will of course live with its sisters on the Marimite fanfics page. It's a "no lily" story, suitable for all ages...although the young and/or idealistic might not get it. :-)

12/21/05 Update

General Notes: Happy Solstice! 2006 is around the corner and with it comes two new Contests at Yuricon. Fans of Yuriko and Midori can show us the love for our 2006 Yuriko Fanart Contest, while Cosplayers around the world have a chance to join our online Cosplay Contest. Please read the submission guidellines carefully before entering!

This Month: I wrote this story well over a year ago. It's just getting posted now. I'm not sure why. Anyway, join Shimei Ryomou and Housen Ryofu for the tender scene they never had on the One-Offs page for a Goodbye Kiss.

10/20/05 Update

General Notes: Onna! was a blast. Shame on you, if you missed it. ALC Publishing premiered a new 100% yuri manga, Yuri Monogatari 3 at the event. You can get it, along with my novel Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko Volume 1, on the Yuricon Shop. If you say you "support" yuri, I ask that you remember to *buy* yuri, because downloading it does not actually support anything. ALC is the only publisher of 100% yuri - buy a copy or two and support it for real!

This Month:Help! I can't stop writing Maria-sama ga Miteru fanfiction! This month I offer you, Parler Coeur Ouvert, in which Shimako and Sei have a heart-to-heart talk on the threshold of their new soeur relationship. It will live on my Marimite fanfic page, with those that are there and at least several more to come. :-)

08/14/05 Update

General Notes: This update is a little early because Yuricon and ALC Publishing will be premiering Shoujoai ni Bouken, Vol.1 at table 408 of the Otakon Dealer's Room - and I'll be running the first-ever yuri panel on Friday, August 19 at Otakon (Panel Room 1 at 11:30PM), so join us there!. This Month: A Kiss and Promise, Part 2, the second half of last month's A Kiss and Promise, Part 1, in honor of the first issue of Yuri Hime, the new all-yuri Japanese manga magazine. Both Yuri Hime and its predecessor Yuri Shimai (in which the characters from my story originated) are available from Amazon Japan through the Yuricon Shop  - and both are really worth getting! Kiss, Part 2 has adult content, so the underage and offended are not welcome to read it.

Don't forget to read the explanation of my lily rating system below before you head off to read the new story!

07/20/05 Update

This Month: In honor of the first issue of Yuri Hime, the new all-yuri manga magazine, I am submitting for your enjoyment, A Kiss and Promise, Part 1, which is a fanfic of characters from cover, short stories, manga and Drama CDs from Yuri Hime and its predecessor, Yuri Shimai. Both magazines are available from Amazon Japan through the Yuricon Shop  - and both are really worth getting!  Kiss will live with the other One-Offs, as you'd expect (although this fanfic is obscure enough that it hardly matters...).

06/23/05 Update

Check the Yuricon Events for this and other exciting yuri panels and happenings! Make sure you join us and meet some other yuri fans. :-)

This Month: It's been a while, but I needed to write something for the fabulous series ROD The TV. This month, its a quiet moment between Yomiko and cool, grumpy Nenene. Rooftops, With Moon Obscured is as original a piece of work as my grandmother's apple pie. (And yes, there's a private joke in there you can't get. lol) Don't forget to read the explanation of my lily rating system below before you head off to read the new story!

05/21/05 Update

Don't forget to read the explanation of my lily rating system below before you head off to read the new story!

04/22/05 Update

General Notes: The Yuri Revolution Event in Tokyo was simply amazing. Read my write-up of the tour and event on Okazu. ALC Publishing's 100% yuri manga Yuri Monogatari will be distributed by Diamond Comics, so check the May 2005 issue of Previews to order a copy of our original yuri anthology! And Shoujoai ni Bouken, Vol.1 will be out this summer as an illustrated novel, so watch the Yuricon Shop for pre-order information!

This Month: Having obssessed over Marimite for the past few months, I offer something completely different for this month. A Day And A Half A Life gives us an idea of what the great Sakiyama Kaori does for fun. You can find this story, alond with so many other random twiddles on the One-Offs page. Also, due to the MPAA's bizzaro-world enforcement of their ratings system copyright, I have developed a completely silly, I mean...amazingly clever, rating system of my own, which is explained below.

03/20/05 Update

General Notes: We're a little less than a month away from the Yuri Revolution Event in Tokyo! Whee. So next month's update will be a little late, probably. ALC Publishing's 100% yuri manga will now be distributed by Diamond Comics, so check the May 2005 issue of Previews to order a copy of our original yuri anthology, Yuri Monogatari!

This Month: We're wrapping up the Forest of Thorns series this month. Vist the Marimite page to read Snapdragon, a story that ties the whole series together, by bringing you the day when it all began.I'm very pleased with this story, so I hope you all enjoy it too. After so many months of Marimite, we'll be moving on to something completely different next month, so check back for the wackiness which will surely ensue. :-) Also, due to the MPAA's bizzaro-world enforcement of their ratings system copyright, I have developed a completely silly, I mean...amazingly clever, rating system of my own, which I will be converting to over the next few however-long-it-takes-me-to-do-this.

02/20/05 Update

This con we be a festival of all the many roles women take in animation and comics, from industry positions to voice actors, artists, writers, fans...everything. And Onna! will be including not only traditional "womens'" and "girls'" animation and comics, but also any and all genres that feature strong female characters. We'll have strong yaoi and yuri tracks and a whole lot more! Mark October 8-10 down on your calendar and join us at Onna!

The  sale on yuri manga at the Yuricon Shop is on until February 1, so don;t miss your chance to save on 100% yuri manga from ALC. And Cafepress is running a sale until Feb 3 - 10% off on orders of $50 or more. So get one of our great "I Love Yuri" t-shirts or gifts for the perfect Valentine's Day gift. :-)

This Month: The fourth installment of the new Maria-sama ga Miteru series, Forest of Thorns, is up on the Marimite page! Still Life With White Sheet is nice and melodramatic and overwrought. LOL I hope you like it! But don't blame me if you don't, because this one is ripped from the pages of the original - I just added a few touches of my own.

12/25/04 Update

General Notes: Exciting news! Yuricon announces a special all-yuri event in Japan on April 16th, in Shinjuku Tokyo! Pretty cool, huh?

When the holidays are done, and you've got some cash to spend, visit the Yuricon Shop. and pick up some of the cool  "I Love Yuri" t-shirts and gifts, and don't forget that yuri manga from ALC Publishing is still discounted to 20% off until the new edition of Rica 'tte Kanji!?" is released.

This Month: I promised you a special treat this month and here it is - the newest installment of the Marimite series, Forest of Thorns, is in, and this piece was written by fanfic author extrordinaire, Alan Harnum! Alan has effectively come out of retirement to write Chronicle of a Revolutionary Girl -   and I think it's brilliant. I hope you enjoy this look at the early 70's in Lillian as much as I do!

11/24/04 Update

General Notes: There are SO many things going on these days! The Yuri Revolution, April 12-17 in Tokyo, is going to be great! ALC Publishing is about to print a second edition of Rica 'tte Kanji!? and to celebrate, we've redone the Yuricon Shop. We've added a gifts and apparel page, where you can buy new "I Love Yuri" items, and we're discounting yuri manga from ALC Publishing up to 20% off. Drop by and get a great deal on yuri manga, gifts, t-shirts and more - just in time for the holidays!

This Month: A new installment of the "Forest of Thorns" continuum, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, has been added to the Maria-sama ga Miteru page. This one was the most fun to write, for me. This story is a nod to all those girl-gang shoujo manga series from the mid-80's that I love so much, incongruously set in the the misty-moisty atmosphere of Lillian Academy. Let me know what you think! Next month this series will bring an extra-special treat for all you shoujoai fanfic fans, but I'm not saying what, so you'll just have to come back and see. :-)

10/23/04 Update

General Notes: Been busy working on the Yuri Revolution event happening in April 2005 in Tokyo. Join us there for shopping, touristy crap, and to meet yuri mangaka and fans in the home of yuri anime and manga.

This Month: A brand-spanking-new page has been coined for your enjoyment. The new Maria-sama ga Miteru page will, over the next few months, be filled with many stories about the ladies of Lillian Academy by myself and people I admire. First up is the first installation of a series that will take a look at almost a century of Lillian's soeur system. Words to Remember takes place shortly after episodes 10 and 11 of the first season of the anime. For more infomation on Marimite and the characters, take a look at my reviews of the anime, manga, nocels and drama CDs on Okazu or share in the fun and get the anime and scans of the manga from the lovely ladies of Lililicious.

9/27/04 Update

General Notes: Yuri Monogatari and WORKS yuri manga from ALC Publishing are now available at your local gay and lesbian bookstore. Ask for them by name and tell them that they can be ordered from Alamo Square Distributors. Please support ALC and Yuricon by buying manga from the *only* yuri manga publishing company in North America. Look for some really exciting new soon at Yuricon!

This Month: I've been working on this story for a while and am pleased that, at last, my first (and probably last) Yokohama Shopping Log/Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou) yuri (well, shoujoai) fanfic is complete. I've had the idea for In Your Eyes for a really long time. I hope you enjoy it, because it made me happy to write it. In my humble opinion Kokone and Alpha are a couple that really need to happen. :-)

8/20/04 Update

General Notes: Yuri Monogatari - ALC Publishing's newest all-original English-language yuri manga anthology is now available at Anime Castle! Please support ALC and Yuricon by buying manga from the *only* yuri manga publishing company in North America. The next project will be the first volume of Shoujoai ni Bouken: The Adventures of Yuriko.

This Month: A first for me - this month's story is a fanfic for a live-action Hong Kong flick called So Close. Even Closer could, potentially, have a sequel. Please email me and let me know what you think!

7/18/04 Update

General Notes: There's exciting news brweing in the yuri manga world! If you're going to be at Otakon, look for Yuricon - we'll be sharing a table with Anime Next. And check out the Planet Anime table for the premier of brand new, all-yuri anthology Yuri Monogatari 2! If you can't make it to the East Coast's biggest con, email Planet Anime to order your copy of this 100% yuri manga in English! This book is truly great.

This Month: As I noted last month - this month we have a real surprise. An amusing filthy story from everyone's favorite hentai series, Weather Woman. Sadly, I was not able to make Nice Weather nearly as depraved and filthy as the manga, but hopefully, you'll get the idea.

6/17/04 Update

General Notes: I know it's been a long time since the last update, but as you're getting your entertainment for free here, I don't really feel all that bad about it. I have been very busy working on many, many things. For one I've been getting yet *another* amazing yuri manga published - ALC's all-original anthology, Yuri Monogatari 2. This will be available by late July, and we hope to premier it at Otakon. Check the brand-new Yuricon website for more details! (The new design, btw is another thing I've been busy with...) In the meantime, look for the ALC table this weekend at Anime Next!

This Month: This month, a third installment of the Courtly Tales of Crystal Tokyo series, wherein I steal freely from Arthurian literature. The Senshi's Challenge is based on somewhat more obscure Arthurian cycle stories, but you can trust me that they do exist. :-) Once again, I hope you enjoy this modernized and naime-ized version of these timeless tales. I've got a surprise for the next update, so don't forget to check back next month!

4/29/04 Update

General Notes: ALC Publishing is pleased to announce the newest 100% yuri manga translated into English, Eriko Tadeno's funny and sexy  WORKS! WORKS includes four short yuri romance stories, and a few short gag comics. It even includes a new Freetalk written especially for this English-language edition. This is available only online, or where Yuricon is attending an event, so visit the Yuricon Shop today to stock up on this fabulous new yuri manga. We're working on our 2004 anthology even as I type, so keep an eye out for that, coming this summer.

This Month: Waaaaayyyyy back, I mentioned that I had an Utena story I was working on. Well, over a year later, I have finally finished it! Can you believe it took me that long? Reunion stars hunky Juri, 'nuff said! Check out my other Utena stories while you're at it, then join us on the Yuricon Mailing List to chat about that oh-so-funky and fascinating series. :-) Next up, a Sailor Moon story and a much longer, stranger YajiKita story - what fun! LOL

3/22/04 Update

General Notes: I am going on a much-needed vacation today, so if you visit my web log Okazu, you won't see any updates for a few weeks. But please, feel free to read the archived reviews, the journal of my trip to Tokyo and more. If you want to chat about yuri, the folks at the Yuricon Mailing List are always glad to oblige!

This Month: I haven't had much time for writing recently, and when I have, I've been very focused on working on Saiyuu no Ryokou, the sequel to Shoujoai ni Bouken. SnR is written as a josei manga, as opposed to SnB's shoujo manga style, but still stars Yuricon's hunky mascot, Yuriko. I think it's pretty fun so far, if I do say so myself. ;-) For the most recent issues, join the Yuricon Mailing List   - I release them there first. I've also got a short little twiddle from an obscure manga series that you haven't read. After Hours stars the incomparable duo of Shinokita Reiko and Yajima Junko, the stars of Yajikita Gakuen Dochuuki, a wonderfully goofy manga series from the 1980's. I have a partially finished longer story about Kita-san which I hope one day to finish and share with you all. (That seems to be the pattern, doesn't it? I do a short piece, then a longer one later.) Anyway, I hope this piece whets your interest in the manga, which has been reborn for the 21st century and is running currently in Mystery Bonita Comics (These lovely ladies are the picture on the right on the Akita Shoten website this month.) It will, like all of its kind, live on the One-Offs page.

2/19/04 Update

General Notes: Visit my web log Okazu,  daily for reviews of yuri anime and manga, then wander over to the Yuricon Mailing List and chat about your favorite series with us!

This Month: Well, I guess I've just been in one of *those* moods, because not only do I have a really lemony lemon this month, I'm beginning a new project - The Belinda Project. More next month on this. Foir this month, please enjoy a fanfic from Ikkitousen,a really fanservice-y series that roughly equates high school martial artists with characters from the Chinese epic, the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. This month's story stars the uber-cool Ryomou Shumei (a submission fighter who wears a maids outfit, an eye patch and boots.) You'll love it, trust me. You can find Lessons Learned on the One-Offs page, as usual.

1/23/04 Update

General Notes: because of some links from forums and new anime sites, my blog, Okazu, has been really popular this month. I'm trying to review a new (or old) yuri anime and manga series every day, to keep you all up to date. There's more than just Maria-sama ga Miteru  (Mary Watches Over Us) to tempt yuri fans these days! Check in daily for the yuri scoop, then wander over to the Yuricon Mailing List and chat about your favorite series with us!

This Month: The story I have for you this month is *still* not the Utena story I've been working on since time immemorial (which is only about 1/3 done, how sad is *that?), however it is an Utena story, so hopefully that will make up for the loss. Once Upon A Time is a really warped take on fairy tales....that's all I'm gonna say. It will live with the other Utena stories, and I think they'll all get along just fine. :-) I have a really cool one-off waiting in the wings, so don't forget to come back and see what next month will bring!

Important Notes About Email: The address for this site has changed - if you'd like to email me, you can do so at yuricon@gmail.com. Please do NOT ask me to read/edit/comment on your stories...if you email me your work, I won't comment on it. If you insist anyway, or are trying to impress me or become my friend with your incredible writing skills, I will probably be very rude, because despite what you think of me based on my writing, I am not a nice person at *all.* If you send me your writing and it is exceptionally bad (which it almost always is) you can be sure I've forwarded it to my friends and we are, even now, having a good laugh about it.

12/23/03

General Notes: Check out my blog, Okazu, for reviews of currently running yuri-flavored anime and manga. This month's review is on the the most popular and long-awaited new anime/manga series you've never heard of - Maria-sama ga Miteru  (Mary Watches Over Us). "Maria-sama" is what the Japanese call the Blessed Virgin Mary.

This Month: I have been avidly watching (and obsessing over) Read or Dream the TV, the sequel to Read or Die. This is, without fail, the most finely crafted anime I've ever watched. I can't recommend it enough. In honor of this, I've resurrected an older story co-written by myself and Sean Gaffney. We intended it to be a longer story, but at the time, it just couldn't be done. So we tabled it. Now, looking at it, we find that we were downright clairvoyant. :-) So, I've decided to re-edit it and presnt to you our ROD The TV Prequel, Opening Gambit.

11/20/03

General Notes: Good thing I have so  many stories done - I've spent the last month traveling and watching anime, so I haven't had time or energy to write. This season's anime winner, IMHO, is Read or Dream the TV, the sequel to Read or Die. It coherently melds the anime and manga continuity from the first series and has been consistently incredibly well-crafted and surprising. Great writing, great characters, good edge-of-your-seat plot and lots of yuri sub- and overt text.

This Month: As I've mentioned, I have a few Utena stories floating around in various stages. This wasn't the first I finished, but I think it's the most compelling - The Power To.... takes a look into post-Utena life for some of the students. Not a very nice look, to be honest.;-) there's a few more Utena stories coming over the next few months, too.

10/16/03 Update - I have been so busy writing stories for you, that I haven't really had much time to do anything else. I've got a couple of Utena stories in post-production (not the one I was supposed to have been working on, of course) and a few other dribbles floating around for when I have time and motivation. In the meantime, I'm taking some time off to watch new anime, including the new live action Sailor Moon, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. I *highly* recommend it - it's a nice adaptation/update of the epitome of mahou shoujo anime. Not nearly as embarassing as I'd expected, and pretty darn sophisticated, considering the target audience is 4-year old girls.

This month's story is a longish piece - a paean to the heroine of the amazingly wonderful manga/anime/CD drama series Hana no Asuka-gumi. Now that Asuka is back in the New Hana no Asuka-gumi, running in Feel Young Comics, expect to see more of this series here. For info, sketches and Flash animation from Asuka visit Takaguchi.net, the mangaka's official site. Anyway, my story, New Year's Resolution will live with the other One-Offs, until I write a third HnA-g story and this deserving series  gets a page of its own.

09/25/03 Update - I wanted to get this updated as soon as possible, because I have a real treat for you. My current new obsession (as opposed to all my old obsessions) is a wonderful new anime, based a cheesy older manga, called Air Master. They clearly made this anime for me and me alone, as it has almost everything I care about in life - chicks beating the shit out of people and a wonderful yuri romance. It's seasoned with plenty of fanservice, a really funny storyline - and great characters. I heartily recommend you watch it. In honor of this terrific anime and manga series, I've written a new story, Something Special, which will live with all the other One-Offs. I can't imagine writing another story for this series, but you never know.

I still have a few stories in production. There's an Utena fic in the pipeline, the Hana no Asuka-gumi thing, a twiddle from YajiKita Gakuen Douchuuki and possibly a stupid something from One Piece, which remains the finest anime and manga ever, despite the complete lack of yuri...or any sex or romance at all. If you haven't read it, you should - and wait breathlessly with the rest of us for the anime to be released over here, so we don't have to watch those crappy HK subs that call Sanji "Sunkist."

Lastly, I want to plug the two wonderful English-language manga for sale at the Yuricon Shop. Yuri Monogatari is a wonderful collection of nine original shoujoai works, from people from thirteen diffferent countries. Rica 'tte Kanji!? is a translation of the collective works of Rica Takashima, a lesbian mangaka whose work was published in and graced the cover of Japan's only lesbian publication, Anise, for many years. I hope you'll visit the Shop and buy an issue or two. Help promote shoujoai and yuri and get some great manga for yourself and friends.

08/15/03 Update - I know, I know. It's been three months since the last update. It's not like I haven't had really good excuses...

In June, I ran Yuricon 2003. Literally. I had 12 blisters on my feet. We had a blast and you missed. I was fired from my job of 12 years the week before, wasn't that cute?

In July I broke my arm. And I was hired by a company that's closer to my house, and pays me more. Hahahah.

In August, I have been writing. Truly. And to prove it, I have a new story for you. 'B' is for Bike   is a new original work, but I've got a few obscure fanfics in the works, too. Not only do I have this story, if you check out the September issue of Animerica magazine, you'll see some of my work. So there.

05/26/03 Update - For all you Noir fans, this month's story is Continued, a long episode-like story for our fave assassins. Some more original and Hana no Asuka-gumi stuff in the pipeline, so don't forget to come back again later!

Yuricon 2003 is around the corner - I hope I'll see you there!

04/12/03 - Important Birthdays this month: My Mom and Midori from Shoujoai ni Bouken.

This month I offer you a short original story written very, very late at night and amazingly comprehensible for all that. It's unusual, because I almost never write coming out stories, ever. This one is an exception. It's called A Good, Long Talk and is a paean to the rare humans out there who can see past their own noses. It will join the rest of my Originals on the appropriate page.

Yuricon is just about two months away and are we planning an incredible con for you! We'll have  panels and workshops, a drag show, a concert, great video programming (including a US premiere) and even a DatingGame - with a paid date as a prize. Register now for three fulls days of shouoai and yuri fun!

3/13/03 Update -  This month's update is something in  the "little different" category. It's a short story based on Hana no Asuka-gumi, a fairly old and obscure manga series that is so amazingly cool that everyone ought to run out and read it. In Mourning will live on the One-Offs page and will hopefully one day be joined by a second story about Asuka and the love of her life, Yohko.

Yuricon 2003 is going to have something of everything - fun games, contests, anime you have *never* seen before and will probably never see again...even a little Hana no Asuka-gumi, for those of you who like this month's story and want more. So register now and join us in all the fun!

02/17/03 Update -  A new story! Who'd have thunk it? This one is my first (but probably not my last) story from the wonderful series, Azumanga Daioh. It's not here officially yet, but hey, come to Yuricon 2003 and see it with us! It's a bittersweet coda to what is a very funny and bittersweet story. You can find Memory in the One-Offs section. The next few updates will likely be original work and I have a Noir fic in the pipeline, so there'll be plenty for you to read in the upcoming months. :-)

Yuricon 2003 is shaping up to be truly fantastic. We have an event-filled schedule, with hot new videos, classic stuff, and even a U.S. Premiere! Pre-registration only lasts 'til March 15th, so save 30% and register now - it's gonna rock.

Update 1/23/03 - Thanks to Angie Karagounaki for her picture of the Investigator from A Special Case. (And thanks for resending it - I'm such a moron sometimes....) I love this picture!

1/17/03 - I know, I know, it's been a long time since I last updated. I had good excuses, holidays, a trip to Japan, getting sick...what was that? A Trip to Japan??? Yep, and it was great. Drop by my blog Okazu for the whole story.

I have a load of stories in various stages of production, but since I wrote this for the winter and it's still damn cold out where I am, here's my new Sailor Moon pastiche, Dressing Up. It's a silly little confection about a birthday party for Makoto. Next up, if I can find where I left it, you'll get a story from a snortingly-funny new series, Azumanga Daioh. And there's some original work to come, as well. So enjoy this, and keep coming back!

11/18/02 - It's been a while since I last updated, but not because I've been slacking. I've got no less than 6 stories in various stages of production, including the sequel to Shoujoai ni Bouken, and a bunch of originals and fanfic.

This update features a new Card Captor Sakura story. Every card game features a booster pack, with extra cards. Well, I thought that Clow's deck was lacking a few cards, so....The Clow Card Booster Pack is available at Kero-chan's Korner, along with all the other CCS stuff.

Since my public appearances for the year are pretty much done, my blog, Okazu, is currently running a behind-the-scenes of building an anime convention. Feel free to get the scoop on how Yuricon was created, how we got to where we are and my adorably cynical and bitter outlook on Volunteers and the like. LOL

Registration for Yuricon 2003 is open! We've got fabulous Guests and a non-stop schedule planned, no kidding. Registration will be going up in price after the New year, so register early!

08/16 mini-update - No new stories (yet,) but I wanted to tell everyone about two entirely self-promotional  things...one, I've started a weblog. Mostly because I wanted to be able to tell you all about upcoming events and appearances on a more timely basis. And if I have any writing that's not technically a story, I thought I could add it in, too. My blog is called Okazu, which is Japanese for "appetizer." It's also slang for lesbian sex, since it's not the "main course," as it were. LOL Check Okazu out for up to date announcements about events, appearances, presentations and the like where I'll be promoting Yuricon and myself. And on that note:

Secondly, I wanted to do a piece of entirely egotistic self-promotion. I have a fan club. Really. And I haven't ever talked about it, because I was kind of embarrassed. But now, I've decided that since I'm being thrust into the limelight, very literally, with Yuricon, I should suck it up. So, if you like my writing, or have met me and been awed by my prickly charm, or were kissed by me because you were dressed like Noin, consider yourself invited. :-) My fan club is located at Yahoo!groups and is run by my wife - so don't say anything *too* personal or she may bat you down! LOL

08/03/02 Update - What a summer! 4 cons, a film festival and mucho traveling. This month I can relax a bit, so I'll have time to work on writing. (But never fear, there's so many things in the pipeline, you won't have time to get bored. :-) )

This month I present to you an appalling little story entitled The Return of Kekko Kamen, which is sick and twisted enough if you haven't seen the series, but downright eerie (if I do say myself) if you have. I literally chortled myself sick when writing it and you'll probably get sick reading it. Enjoy. LOL

Con season isn't over yet, so if you're local to NYC, stop by Anime Expo NY/Big Apple Anime Fest and catch me running the Yaoi/Yuri panel, at the Fanfic Panel or running a Fanfic writer's workshop. I may be MC'ing some of the Guest panels, too, although it doesn't look like it at the moment. I'll also give you some advanced warning this time - you may well see me presenting the Utena movie at the Tampa Bay Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and I'll be trying to make Anime Next, here in NJ. It's a longshot at the moment, but I'm shooting for Yaoicon, too.

Yuricon update - news guests announced and the programming for Yuricon 2003 is starting to take shape. We're still looking for volunteers, so check out the Volunteers page! We've got great vendors, some big video showings planned and a host of fun events. I really hope I'll see you all there.

Update 07/01/02 - Happy American Independence Day (well, in three days.) I'll be at Anime Expo, moderating several of the Guest of Honor panels (including the director of Noir!) and the Yaoi/Yuri panel. So be sure to stop by if you're there.

I'm sorry I never told any of you about my gig introducing the Utena Movie at the 26th Int'l Lesbian and Gay Film Festival. Let's just say it was very nerve-wracking. I presented the movie to 1200 people. I was nervous, but Director Kunihiko Ikuhara was even more nervous, which made me feel better.

This month we have two new things: one is a short CLAMP-based shoujoai piece, using the only canon CLAMP lesbian couple. You can find it in the One-Offs section, it's called The Velvet Mask.

The second piece is a bit of non-fiction. I created a Fanfic Writer's Workshop to present at cons or wherever people might be interested in the mechanics of writing. I originally posted it on the Yuricon Mailing List, but I thought some people might be interested to read it who aren't on the list. It's in three parts, from basics to advanced writing techniques. This workshop will live on my Originals page. I hope you enjoy!

After Anime Expo, you can see me at Shoujocon, running the shoujoai/yuri discussion group and maybe at some other panels and at Otakon where, since no one gets back to me, i'll simply be hanging with friends.

I've got a pipeline of new fics a-comin' too - everything from a Kekko Kamen fic, to a Digimon Tamers, to a new and loooooong Devilman Lady story. And even more in the pipeline, so keep coming back!

Update 06/06/02 - It's Ogata Megumi's Birthday! All hail the Queen of sexy seiyuu! For you reprobates who don't know who MO is - she's the voice of Haruka in Sailor Moon, Shinji in Evangelion, Yukito in Card Captor Sakura and is currently Aoyama in Tokyo Mew Mew, as well as producing her own radio shows and albums. Her website is http://www.emou.net/  Worship her as she deserves.

This month the story is the second in the Courtly Tales of Crystal Tokyo, a Sailor Moon/early English literature fusion known as Sailor Jupiter and the Green Knight. I really enjoy  writing these little rip-offs, so I hope you all enjoy reading them!

At Yuricon   we have now confirmed our second Guest of Honor for 2003. Along with Rica Takashima, we'll be having Kathryn Williams, popular Canadian lesbian mangaka,of Kat and Neko Manga.

Update 05/10/02 - A new fic! This time it's from my latest obsession, the incredibly wonderfully kitschy horror series by Go Nagai, Devilman Lady. This is a short character portrait, but I hope to have a longer piece eventually. There's also a new SM and a 20 Masks story in my stable almost ready to go. (I can't help it - I still love Sailor Moon! LOL)

A Yuricon scoop! (I haven't updated the YC site yet, heheh) We have confirmed our first Guest of Honor for 2003 - Rica Takashima, a very funny and cool Japanese lesbian mangaka. Yay! Drop by the site and get details on our upcoming events, guests, projects and more.

Update 04/06/02 - Ah hah! It's here at last! That durned Outer Senshi story which is well over a year old is, at last, born. What a long pregnancy that was.... You can find it under the Sailor Moon listings below, or on the Sailor Moon page here. It's funny, I think. It's more like a sketch of the Outers at home with a plot attached lightly, than a really intense story. I hope you enjoy it.

Wonderful news! Yuricon now has official 2003 dates. We'll be at the Gateway Hilton in Newark, NJ on June 13-15. I hope you'll join us for the first ever three-day celebration of shoujoai and yuri. We have some amazing things planned and great guests lined up. You can get more detail at the Yuricon site.

In addition, Yuricon (read "me" LOL) will be presenting Adolescence of Utena at the San Francisco International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. Gotta love my Mom - when I told her she immediately say, "What are you going to wear?  I think you should wear a tux." You can find out more as details become available at the Yuricon Events page. I'm very excited.

Update 03/11/02 - I guess the pace of updates here has slowed down, hasn't it? Blame it on what is laughingly referred to as a "life" in the offline world. LOL

This month's offering is a original (in the sense that it is not actually copied, it is however extremely derivative) story. Call it a "what if" kind of story. As in, what if *I* were the one to write all those stupid stories where twins are born and one will be the savior of the universe? *g*

Yuricon proceeds nicely - we're working on a hotel and have a few fun guests lined up. Our 2002 Poster is for sale, for a big $5 (email me if you're interested) - and the poster contest is on, with about a month to go. So quick - send in your entries!

One last note for this update - remember when, for about a year I kept on about a big Outer Senshi story i'd finally do? Well, it's done! Now it's in editing and the next update will give you a glimpse of just how pointless the wait was. LOL

Update 01/27/02 - It's Haruka's birthday today. I thought that amusing. :-)

In between setting up the wheels for our next Yuricon event, the manga project, getting the poster printed, and a host of other things, I managed to write up a story I'd been wanting to do for a very long time. This month I present to you another "It's about time!" story, this time starring two hypercompetent and sexy women from Mobile Police Patlabor - and no, neither of them is Noa. Don't you know me better than that by now? Love's Labors Lost was alot of fun to write because both Kanuka and Kumagami are too smart for their own good. :-)

I've also put together a teeny little original piece that I'll try and get up soonish. And I have, as always, a few new ideas, so stay tuned!

Don't forget!  - AniLesboCon/Yuricon 2002 is hosting an event in New York City at Meow Mix (269 E. Houston) on February 13th at 7PM. We'll be celebrating Valentine's Day with "Swords and Roses" Night, showing Utena, Rose of Versailles and more. Drop by and join myself, the incomparable fanfic author (and my frequent co-author) Sparkle and many more fun folks for a night of coutrly love and kick-ass chicks with weapons. You can support our ongong celebration of shoujoai and yuri through our Yuricon auctions, too! We'll be auctioning off hard to find and unusual japanese manga (not doujin - whole tankubon) and toys from various sources, all celebrating women in love and with weapons!

12/29/01 - Happy New Year, almost. I've been slothing out this month as a present to myself for the holidays. However, 2002 will bring many busy and interesting moments, I'm sure. :-)

First order of business - AniLesboCon/Yuricon 2002 is hosting an event in New York City at Meow Mix (269 E. Drop by the Yuricon website for more info on Yuricon events. We'll be starting some ebay auctions soon, as well. Help support this noble cause - I'll update you asap.

Now for this month's feature - I have been wanting to write this story since I first laid eyes on these characters. I knew perfectly well that this was a bad idea, but, hey, when has that ever stopped me? I tried in Under Fire but, alas, they remained unremittingly straight. Well, no more. Hah! Yes, I have managed to write a Gundam Wing yuri lemon! Sally and (sigh) Noin together at last. I know you're salivating - I can see it from here. No Promises will inaugurate the new Gundam Wing page, which I really have no choice but to build, I guess. Three stories as "one-offs" is cheesy. Enjoy!

Final note - For those of you who seem to think that this page is a general archive, please reread the first line under the animation. Thank you. While I appreciate the offers, I do not accept submissions of any kind to WSF.

Update 11/24/01 - As predicted, Noir was too good a series to not write at least a little something. In Perfect Silence, a short Noir lemon, can be found in the One-Offs section. If I have time, I'll add a second, longer story, with an actual plot to the collection :-)

Shoujoai Ni Bokuen, my magnum opus, is still being updated regularly on the AnilesboCon/Yuricon site, and the newest issues are always on the Mailing List, where we're closing in on 200 shoujoai/yuri enthusiasts! ALC/Yuricon will definitely be holding another event in New York City in February. probably at Meow Mix again - and probably on the 20th, so we can celebrate ALC's mascot's birthday. :-) I'm working on the sequel to SnB now, too, but I hope to have time this winter to write some fanfic, as well.

Update 11/10/01 - Happy Mananan MacLir's Day. I have been working on some stories, but few are finished. Life has been far too "interesting" for that. Today's offering resides on the  One-Offs   page and is a strange, dark and unfulfilling story based on a strange, happy and fulfilling OVA called Jubei-chan, the Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch. The story is called Ouroborus and is shoujoai-y.

The Big Apple Anime Festival was pretty much a snooze, but I did pick up a Noir soundtrack and am inspired by it. Look for Noir to filter into my writing sooner rather than later - it's a terrific series, run out and find fansubs.

Shoujoai Ni Bokuen, my magnum opus, is still being updated regularly on the AnilesboCon/Yuricon site, and the newest issues are always on the Mailing List. (We're migrating towards the Yuricon name, so don't be surprised at the address change.) The ALC/Yuricon party at Meow Mix was a blast and we created a bunch of new converts - hopefully, we'll be holding yet another event in February. I'll let you know when and where - promise.

9/28/01 - Because you were all so patient over the summer (or maybe not, but I didn't get hate mail or anything, so...) I've gone and written you all a new little lemon. (My other lemon turned out not be one, but I'll post it eventually anyway.) This is another Battle Atheletes story and it's located in One-Offs - look for Ripples in the Water. I've got a few other projects on various burners, so more stories  will be coming soon.

AniLesboCon is having a party! If you are in the New York City area on October 24 (or are planning on being there for the Big Apple Anime Festival Oct. 26-28) drop by at the ALC party at Meow Mix. Our party is now officially part of the BAAF festivities, so who knows - Ikuhara Kunihiko or other guests of the festival might just show up. They've all been officially invited. For more info on the party, visit the ALC Calendar of Events. We'll be having a trivia contest, Japanese lessons, gifts for anyone who shows in school uniform and lots of good shoujoai anime! If  for no other reason than to seem me make a fool of myself, I hope you'll come by. If you can't come, but want to hear about the fun, you can always chat with us at the ALC/Yuricon Mailing List at Yahoogroups.

Shoujoai Ni Bokuen is still being updated regularly on the AnilesboCon site, and the newest issues are always on the Mailing List.

Update 9/09/01 - Oh my goodness. You folks must feel like I've abandoned you completely. August was a very busy month for me, with Otakon, a trip to San Francisco and one to Florida. I have two stories both partially completed, including that Outers thing which, by now, you are all sick of hearing about and can never, ever live up to the buildup. And it won't. Sorry. It's really just a twiddle, for all that it is longer than I imagined it would be. Blame this all on work - I used to do most of my writing there and now I have to actually work.

For this update I offer to you a little one-shot deal for the series Battle Athletes victory. Check out the One-Offs for Bittersweet Chocolate. Several lemons are in the works, as well, because it's been a long time since I wrote something really lemony.

Update 7/29/01 - I realize this has been the longest between updates since I started this website. I can only plead "busy." I have completed Shoujoai Ni Bokuen, ran security for Shoujocon, went to Boston to train with my Taijiquan teacher and am planning and AnilesboCon get together at Otakon. So I think I deserve a *little* slack, right? Probably not. ;-)

To thank you all for your patience (and because I really, really am working on the Outers thing I keep promising,) I have a little Utena piece that came to me one day while I was seriously PMSing. LOL Check out the Utena section below for more info on Burning Question.

Update 6/21 - Happy Summer Solstice! Why haven't any of you pointed out the broken link to Looking for a Web to Weave? Aren't you my friends?;-) Just for that, I won't tell you what it's about - you'll have to discover that on your own.

Update 6/15 - A new CCS story this time, for my imoto-chan, Sparkle. Check out Kero-chan's Korner for the link!

AniLesboCon is growing apace! Seems that a celeberation of shoujoai and yuri in anime and manga is an idea that is long overdue. Look for us at Shoujocon, on July 14-15 in East Brunswick, NJ. We'll be a the party sponsored by K&N Manga in the Consuite on Saturday night. I hope to see you there! And don't forget to drop by our website for constant updates, new features and contests.

I've also updated the Links page with a few new finds (and to try and solve the ever-irritating problem of inconsistent fonts.)

Update 6/2/01 - One little story, more of a scene than a story, but it stuck in my head and wouldn't go away. Outers fans - this one's for you, and I really *am* working on something more substantial. SailoCheck out the F1 for the new fic.

I took AniLesboCon on the road - to Anime North in Toronto. For the full report, join the AniLesboCon Mailing List and check the archives!

Update 5/10 - I very cleverly torpedoed my index page today. My apologies for any incovenience it may have caused you. It should be alright now, but let me know of any problems.

One new story for this update, to be found in the One-Offs section. This is my first attempt at a GW yaoi and is fairly hardcore, so be warned.

On another note, This Rose is My Destiny, by myself and Stirling Twilight has been translated into Russian! You can see it in all it's Cyrillic glory here.

Finally - if you enjoy any of my work, or that of the Fanfic Revolution, please take a moment and visit our newest effort - Revolution! ezine. Revolution! is an showcase for the non-fiction essays, opinions and thoughts from the members of the Fanfic Revolution, on the reasons behind, the act of, and the reaction to writing fanfic. We hope you'll enjoy reading it.

Update 4/19 - I know, it's been almost three weeks! I've been busy. :-)

Check out Kero-chan's Korner for yet another new CCS story - Just Once, written by Sparkle with an assist from me.

Wanna see something fun? Click HERE to see a pic of me and about thirty of the fans that followed Ogata Megumi 1/2way around the world to follow her around NYC. I'm the only Caucasian in the pic and the butchy woman on my left is the divine Miss O. (She touched me!!!) LOL

Update 3/25 - A new CCS story - look for it at Kero-chan's Korner.

Created a new "updates" page, like everyone else, so I don't have to keep it all on the home page. :-)

Update 3/4 - Added a new fic to the One-Offs section - as far as I know, the world's only fanfic for Amakusa 1637,  a manga running in Petite Flower Comics.

Also, I have learned that at least one of my stories has been translated into Japanese. you can find it here. You need to be able to read Japanese characters to read it. (Try downloading NJWin CJK reader here - it's a great program!)

Visit AniLesboCon 2001 for my newest story, Shoujoai ni Bouken, the ongoing adventures of Yuriko, ALC's mascot.  You can also read my account of my meeting with Ogata Megumi the seiyuu who voices Haruka, Kurama, Yukito and a host of other great anime characters! (Let me just tell you, she's babealicious...)
